This page exists because our own pages disagreed. The free tier was described as "everything free, keyless" on the docs and as "500 free lookups with a key" on the main site. Both were true and neither was clear. This is the single source of truth, mirrored on gobuy.ai/pricing. If any other GoBuy page contradicts this table, tell us and we will fix the page, not the table.

MCP (mcp.gobuy.ai/mcp) is and stays keyless. It has no API key, no per-key quota, and nothing about MCP calls counts toward an API key's 500/day. Anonymous MCP usage is limited per-IP for abuse prevention only — exactly like the keyless REST tier. If you need higher limits for an MCP deployment, register a free key and use the REST endpoints, which return the same scores.
One product trust check, store score, or comparison of up to 20 products = 1 lookup. A not_indexed response counts (the corpus paid for the check); a hard 4xx/5xx error does not. Store scans (scan_store) are heavier: 5 lookups each.
"Everything free, keyless" is true for everything an individual agent or developer needs — there is no feature behind the key, only volume. The key exists so serious users can exceed single-IP limits honestly, and so we can contact them before breaking changes. The 500/day free key quota and $0.01/lookup paid rate are the only numbers that were ever billed.
